Uploading large videos
- Minutes are counted by the video's running time, not its file size, so a 4K video costs the same as the same video in 720p.
- Each file can be up to 2 GB. 4K phone footage reaches that in a matter of minutes, while 1080p video usually runs half an hour or more.
- On a slow or mobile connection a large video can take a long time to upload. If you only need the words, export the audio as M4A or MP3 first; it's a fraction of the size and gives the same transcript.
- Screen recordings and webinar captures usually transcribe especially well, because the audio comes straight from the microphone with little room noise.
